This video shows applications of  basic Ng Ga kiu sao and chin na; also applications for a front kick; keep in mind that a kick using the back leg is stronger than using the front leg; but it is slower than the front.  There are soft ways to parry a kick and hard ways of  blocking or jamming it; the choice depends on the level of skill, body conditioning; and the physique of the defender and attacker.
